The meeting will be focussed on two major issues, crucial for the future of rapeseed/canola.
Day 1 (Sept. 28): Insect pest management in rapeseed: technical situation and r research progress towards sustainable control (coordinated by Samantha Cook, Rothamsted)
Day 2 (Sept. 29): Rapeseed protein production and added value: research issues from agronomy to product quality and process (coordinated by Veronique Barthet, Winnipeg)
To encourage international participation from all regions of the world and include all fields of rapeseed/canola research, this event will comprise for each topic:
- A series of recorded presentations on issues relating to agronomy, crop protection, economics, and genetics & breeding (, which will be available online for participants at least 24 hours in advance (co-organized with the other GCIRC committees’ chairs):
- A live summary, Question & Answer session and Debate involving the speakers and GCIRC Committee leaders, on 28th and on 29th September from 13:30 -16:00 CET (convenient common period for global time-zones). Participants will have the possibility to comment and ask questions through the moderator.
