The 16th International Rapeseed Congress, jointly hosted by GCIRC and the Australian Oilseeds Federation, will be held in Sydney in September 2023 and you are cordially invited!

With a program covering 6 Core Themes (• Genetics, Genomics and Breeding • Agronomy, Physiology and Management • Diseases and Pests • Quality and Products • End Uses • Economy and Markets) over 3 full days, together with a pre-congress field trip, the 16th IRC will be the major global canola/rapeseed meeting of 2023.

The war in Ukraine, the world leader in sunflower production, is of direct concern to the whole research and innovation community for oilseed crops and more generally.

Faced with the situation, some national institutions are mobilising to offer assistance to Ukrainian researchers and possibly their families by hosting them at least temporarily.

This event took place as a hybrid event on 16 June 2021.

The Canola Council of Canada has just posted on its You Tube channel most of the presentations made during Canola Week last December.

Greetings from southern Germany. You have probably heard about the extreme weather conditions and serious floods in the West and South of Germany and neighbour countries. At the same time we have seen extreme heat and extended fire events in North America. Not only farmers but also many other people suffer from these current catastrophees. But climate change may cause even greater damage in years to come.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the GCIRC Technical Meeting, initially scheduled to be hosted by IHAR and held in Poznan, Poland, will now be held online on 28th and 29th September.
